Testimonials - what others are saying about us

Everything We Wanted -

Booked a week to completely relax, and with the aim to remove ourselves from hectic city life, and to enjoy the wildlife- mainly the birds. We achieved all these goals. The bird life at your door is completely spectacular. Whilst at Mallacoota we saw pelicans, numerous bird species, bush rats, koalas, kangaroos, a bandicoot, a long neck turtle and goannas. If you love pelicans as we do, visit the wharf when people clean their fresh fish in the evening. The lake views from Adobe are stunning. The flat has everything you need; very comfortable Q bed (flat 5), Coonara fire place, TV with DVD player, ample utensils, couches, outdoor setting. It's completely rustic, clean and totally adequate with very special unique and eclectic touches. -  SpaSeeker13

Definitely be Back

Our family really enjoyed our stay - fantastic ocean views, and such a fantastic variety of native birds. Clean, spacious, cozy at night with the wood fire. The welcome basket & breaky supplies were such a lovely bonus. Quiet location, only a short trip into town. Lots more to explore around Mallacoota so we'll definitely be back! Thankyou! - Clare Melbourne

No Boat Required !

Beautiful setting & surroundings within walking distance to Mallacoota. Unit clean , comfortable , fully equipped , private with magnificent views over the lakes. Birds & cute marsupial on deck an added bonus. Fishing at local pier at end of street ( 2 min walk) fantastic. No boat required. Loved it !! - Krishna J Melbourne

Dreaming of a Move to Mallacoota

We loved the basket on arrival and the milk in the fridge The place made me feel very relaxed and I slept like a log! the view out the front of the unit was breathtaking and all the lil native animals and birds were so lovely to watch through the windows(and as we sat outside in the sun too! For most of our stay there was no one in the unit next to us and I really enjoyed that! It was so nice to take our dog with us and I think we wont ever go anywhere in Australia agian that we cant take her to too. Thanks for the gorgeous place to stay. I loved Mallacoota so much and even started to dream of a move!!!!!! - Josie B Melbourne

Comfy Beds

Wildlife was amazing - never had opportunity before to feed the birds like that. Also thank you for the tips about the local bush rats as we saw quite a few of those and didn't feel alarmed. The master bed - so comfortable. We both agreed that we had our best sleep all holiday at Adobe. Overall, we loved the simplicity of Adobe, the construction and the use of wood everywhere - felt very much like we were a part of nature. (Given that we are from Melbourne - it was great to feel like this). - Kelly F melbourne

Great Welcome

We felt very welcome immediately with Trevor guiding us to our unit and giving us tips on local takeaway and places to visit. The unit was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed to simply chill and relax. And the fireplace - awesome in every way.The views of the Ocean and Inlet were beautiful, as was feeding the birds and seeing the local wildlife - completely blown away by how close they got to the front door. The welcome bag was a pleasant surprise as we have stayed in other places and not received the same kind of service, so thank you. Overall wonderful experience and would love to chill here again in the future.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We loved the mudbrick unit! It had a wonderful view, the fireplace was amazing, especially when staying there during a few cold nights. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was great because we love to cook. Jennifer and Trevor were very accommodating, they happened to be staying in the unit next door and greeted us upon arrival, they also invited us to join them on river cruise the following day, which we thought was great. They also provide you with bird feed, and the variety of birds that come and eat right outside your door is fun to watch. Mallacoota itself is a really beautiful and relaxing place, we would definitely recommend this listing to anyone staying in Mallacoota! - Ben and Paige Canada

Lovely and Inviting

Our host Jennifer was very receptive and responsive to emails and phone calls. The unit was quite a bit further from the town area than we had realized however we had our bikes and cycled into town, walked or drove. It is a lovely quiet area and the view is lovely. The unit was very clean and inviting with a lovely welcome basket with wine. There was also crumpets and milk in the fridge. Very nice touches. We also appreciated being encouraged to feed the birds with the bird seed provided. - Jeff and Carrie Aronson

Wish we could stay longer

We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The house is not common with mud bricks and full of charm. We had a lovely welcome basket. Kids loved to feed the parroques at breakfast View is beautiful. - Vincent le Blond Paris France

Very Cool

These are quite unique apartments in a lovely setting overlooking the bay in Mallacoota, which is a smashing little seaside place.( the buns from the local bakery were gorgeous ) The apartment was very sixties retro with glass bottles embedded in the walls, making decorative patterns and a hammock hanging off the front porch - very cool. We met Jennifer who had just taken over the management of the apartments after buying them from the previous owners and she was keen to ensure all was well. - Steve Swinglehurst UK
