Welcome

 

We are the proud second generation owners of several of the much  loved Adobe Mudbrick Holiday Flats at Mallacoota.   For us it was truly love at first sight – first we fell in love with the owners and creators Peter and Margaret Kurz and then of course we became hooked on Adobe.

 

As the owners of Flats 1, 2, 5 and 6 and the Honey Moon Cabin it is our desire to both honour  what has been entrusted to us and continue to provide our guests with a soul to soul, heart to heart accommodation experience.

 

We refer to our flats as Adobe Abodes  - a name that to us reflects their proud and loving history and their special relationship with their natural surroundings of the spectacular Mallacoota Inlet and Croagingalong National Park.

 

A visit to Mallacoota is a rare experience of peaceful coastal life in a pristine wilderness – a far from the madding crowd experience – with all the comforts of home and the little touches that make our guests feel like family.

 

If you are a frequent or first time visitor to Adobe we know you will feel the warm embrace of the 10inch thick mud brick walls  –each brick lovingly handmade by Peter- and bask in the sensory delight of the sparkling Inlet vistas and smile at the trusting array of local wildlife that visit to say “hello and welcome” every day.

 

It is a place to “get away” from the pressures of modern living and reconnect  to a simpler time of home grown foods, friendly neighbours and unlocked doors.  A stay at Adobe Abodes is like coming back to a way of life when nature was a familiar friend – loved and honoured – giving back to us unconditionally.
